REMARKS.-

     With the First World War, infant mortality was very high in France. The American Red Cross, founded in 1888 by Clara Barton in Washington, has conducted several campaigns to promote breastfeeding for the Office of Child Welfare of the Ministry of Interior and the League Against Infant Mortality.
